Scripps Whittier Invitational

This year’s 12th Annual Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute Invitational Dinner and Golf Tournament was an outstanding success.  Starting with Sunday’s wonderful dinner and auction excitement at Estancia La Jolla and wrapping up with a beautiful day of golf at La Jolla Country Club, we were overwhelmed by the generosity, commitment and compassion of our donors and supporters. 

We also were especially honored to recognize our 2009 Jessop Award recipient, Dr. Jeffrey Sandler, and our inaugural Pacesetter Award recipient, Dr. Francine Kaufman, along with Medtronic Diabetes. We thank them both for their tireless effort and innovation in the fight against diabetes. 

Thanks to your support, proceeds from this year’s event will benefit diabetes research and clinical trials through our Clinical Research Center, and enable Project Dulce™ to carry on with its invaluable education and prevention programs in low-income and underserved communities.  Additionally, the proceeds from the Fund-a-Need portion of the evening will support our inpatient glycemia management program.
